Named after the ancient Christian symbol for the fish, which early Christians used as an acronym for “Jesus Christ, God’s Son, Savior”, the “Ichtus” knife embodies both meaning and craftsmanship. Its African leopard wood handle features striking grain patterns that resemble fish scales and the shape of the knife with a midpoint tip looks reminiscent of the ancient Christian symbol we all know and love today.

The handle is crafted from all-natural, stabilized hardwoods to resist rot and swelling. African leopard wood provides the primary texture, accented with a Lacewood feature strip and a front bolster of rich Mahogany.

The blade is made from 440C stainless steel—the same premium thickness used in my higher-end artisanal knives. Known for exceptional edge retention, this steel holds up through extensive kitchen use. The blade’s mid-point tip strikes a perfect balance between a classic flat chef’s knife and a high-curved tip design, offering smooth rocking motion while cutting.
